Rebecca-Louise Home Lifestyle Shoot

When Rebecca-Louise was starting her wildly successful home Instagram account I took some interior photos of her beautiful home. This blog post features some images from the shoot and also includes some tips for getting the best from your own interior photos.

If you’re an Instagram home account, you know that great photos are essential for success. But taking good home interior photos can be tricky. Here are some tips to help you take stunning home interior photos that will wow your followers:

  1. Use natural light whenever possible. Natural light is the best light for photography if you don’t have professional lighting. Try to shoot your photos in the morning when the light is softer and more diffused.
  2. Declutter the space. Before you start shooting, take some time to declutter the space. This will help to create a clean and uncluttered look in your photos.
  3. Pay attention to your composition. When you’re composing your shots, use the rule of thirds to guide your eye. This means dividing your frame into thirds both horizontally and vertically, and placing your subject at the intersection of the lines.
  4. Use a tripod. A tripod will help to keep your shots steady, especially if you’re shooting in low light conditions.
  5. Edit your photos. Once you’ve taken your photos, you can use editing software to improve the overall look and feel of your images. There are many different editing software options available, so find one that you’re comfortable with and experiment until you find a look that you like.

Here are some additional tips that are specific to taking home interior photos for Instagram:

  • Use a wide-angle lens. A wide-angle lens will help you to capture more of the space in your photos.
  • Get down low. Shooting from a low angle can help to create a more dramatic look.
  • Use props. Adding a few carefully chosen props can help to add interest to your photos.
  • Be creative. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different angles and compositions.

With a little practice, you’ll be taking stunning home interior photos for your Instagram home account in no time!
